What is Haglund's Deformity?

Haglund's deformity is a bony enlargement on the back of the heel bone where the Achilles tendon attaches. This prominence can lead to painful bursitis and irritation from shoe pressure, commonly called 'pump bump' due to its association with wearing high heels or stiff-backed shoes.
