Dr. Shiori Takashima

Dr. Takashima completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at El Paso, Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in biomedical science before earning her degree in Podiatric medicine at Des Moines University on an academic scholarship.

She went on to complete her surgical residency training at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, where she held leadership roles as academic and student coordinator during her time.

Her in-depth training and experience has provided her an extensive set of surgical skills, specializing in tendon repair, infection, bunion correction, fracture treatment, and sports medicine.

Dr. Takashima's approach to medicine is marked by empathy and patient-centric care. She is dedicated to ensuring that patients fully comprehend their injuries and treatment plans, with a focus on helping patients improve their overall health and empowering them to lead a healthy lifestyle.
